THE TRANSITION

THE PLAN

WE ARE TRANSITIONING TO A SATURDAY EVENING SERVICE WHILE WE RENOVATE OUR PRESENT FACILITIES AND BUILD A NEW CHILDREN’S CENTER.

WHY THE TRANSITION?

To better serve our community and mission.

Our present sanctuary is over 100 years old.  We are maxed out with space and our kids ministry is needing room to expand. .

WHY SATURDAY CHURCH?

A local church has offered us use of their facilities while we renovate.

New River Community Church and the 22 Collective has offered us use of their entire facilities while we are under construction and renovations.

Saturday evening best fit the mission of what we all wanted to accomplish in working together.

WHEN DO WE TRANSITION?

Saturday, October 14th, 2017 @ 5:30 p.m.

New River Community Church and the 22 Collective has offered us use of their entire facilities while we under construction and renovations.

WHERE IS SATURDAY CHURCH?

3464 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, Ga. 30135

New River Community Church is about 3.5 miles from our current facility.  It is on the intersection of Fairburn Road and Anneewakee.  We will have signs marking the entrances to the facility as well as parking attendants to assist you.

HOW LONG WILL YOU BE IN TRANSITION?

We plan to be back on our home property by Easter of 2018.

There are many variables involved with the completion date but we have facilities available off site as long as we need.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE RENOVATIONS AND NEW BUILDING?

Our current projected budget is $722,000.

We are being very frugal with our spending and gaining a lot of ‘sweat equity’ in the building and renovations to help offset our costs.
